Farming/Animals
Sixty billion animals are farmed for food worldwide every year – the vast majority of them reared intensively in systems that seriously impact on their welfare. At Wickedfood Earth we strive to make their lives better through humane farming practices which include:
- Free range.
- Free-range chickens live outdoors and are not confined in small cages or overcrowded barns. The cheapest eggs are from chickens in cage systems that are never allowed outside. They are not allowed to run about or carry out natural behaviors like laying eggs in a nest, flapping their wings, dust bathing, scratching, perching, eating insects for natural protein grasses and natural seed.
- No growth hormones or mass dosing of antibiotics
