Join the Wickedfood Earth Country Cooking School team on Sunday 12 August for a delicious venison tasting feast. This lunch forms part on our themed exclusive Sunday lunches to showcase how flavourful antibiotic and growth hormone-free veld-raised meat is.
We will be offering a 20 dish, 4-course menu, showcasing the best of venison from different animals, taking traditional South African recipes and give them a facelift, from our popular air dried carpaccio, pâtés and terrines, to succulent wood roasted leg of venison, and pan fried pancetta wrapped loin, served with farm grown winter vegetables, and of course a hearty winter pudding.

In addition we will be offering a farm tour and discussion about ethically raised and harvested venison and secrets on how we at Wickedfood Earth Farm get the best out of cooking with it.

Menu

  • Starters– a selection of mezzes made from farm grown vegetables, and homemade bread;
  • First course – venison charcuterie, including air dried carpaccio, farm made pâtés and terrines and salami;
  • Main course – suculent wood roasted leg of venison, and pan fried pancetta wrapped loin, served with farm made preserves and farm grown winter vegetables;
  • Dessert – Hearty winter pudding surprise.

Space for Wickedfood Earth Country Cooking School food events are limited to a maximum of 30, so book early to avoid disappointment. Guests will have a choice of sitting at the Cooking School’s magnificent communal long table, or for parties of 4, 6, 8 or 10 at their own tables (with enough lead-in time, we can re-create this event for your exclusive group).
